Psychologist. Certified Coach. Equine Trainer.
Growing up in Northern Germany Ria found her passion for horses through Equestrian Vaulting aka gymnastics on horseback and coached her first team at 14 years old. At 19 she became a certified equine trainer. Horses and children have been a big part of her life ever since.
After graduating with a Master’s degree in psychology from Christian-Albrecht University in Kiel, Germany in 2016 she moved to the Bay Area. Where she combined her passion for horses with her education and started working for several nonprofit organizations involved with horses and youth.
After deciding to start her own equine therapy program with a holistic approach, Ria became certified as a life coach and started teaching yoga and meditation at The Ajna Collective (now Cotati Yoga).
Working with kids and teenagers in Marin and Sonoma County she encountered a lot of youth struggling with anxiety and depression. Driven by that observation and the desire to help Ria founded Equine Librium and developed an Equine Assisted Coaching program to help kids and teenagers that are suffering from anxiety.
